I JUST KNOW THE SOUND IT MAKES WHEN IT TAKES A FRESHMAN’S LIFE.

how do i tell my friend that she's dating a guy who has raped someone? i feel like rape at beloit is very covered up and never talked about, and often because of the close community we have here, people think that what might actually be rape is just a drunken adventure that kind of went too far.

take her to a private space, but somewhere your friend can have an “out”— like, if it’s her room she won’t have an easy way to leave because it’s her room. Make sure she has an exit in case the conversation gets bad.

Then I would just… say… it? ask how the relationship is going, be outright about it; don’t be roundabout or passive aggressive. Show your concerns, and your feelings. But also make sure you listen to her, and whatever points she brings up.

there are like no resources for this online, and that sucks. a lot.
